The Guestbook
A fantastic hotel with one of the only properly private positions in the village of Oia. The hotel staff are helpful, friendly and have a list of good ideas for things to do, if lounging is too sybaritic. A cruise on the catamaran is a good way to spend a few hours and the barbecue they lay on is extremely tasty. Dinner down in Amoudi is worth the 239 steps down and 239 steps back up. The fresh lobster with spaghetti in orange sauce is delicious and was better than the lobster served in Ambrosia up in Oia which is also excellent, but book through the hotel as they get the best tables. 1880 also worth a visit just for the langoustine bolognese.

Forgive my bad english, we have stayed at Mystique for our honeymoon. Even if the wether was not so good, very windy the 2 first days, we had a really good time.
At the beginning we did not really enjoyed the island, but we have rented a car for a day and we drove in the small roads, far away from the crowed.
We also spent a day on a sailing boat, shared with 3 other couples and we went along the cratere of the vulcano, and we had a barbecue cooked by the crew, it was divine!
The hotel has an incredible situation, on the clift of the most beautiful village in Santorini, the staff was very efficient and helpfull. The breakfast facing the vulcano is a magic thing, many people were having salmon with a glass of champagne??? it is maybe a fashion thing to do??? It looked for us a little bit ridiculous, but this is probably a "must". We mostly enjoyed the plain things they had: the yogurt with mint freshly mixed or with strawberies, the fruit salads with juice and mascarpone, a plain pleasure!
I would like to thanks also Nikki at the Smith office, she was all the time trying to find the best solutions for all our needs. Thank you!

Just had our honeymoon in Mystique – it was amazing, the staff are so friendly and warm and the hotel has an amazing ambience and style. The breakfast is fabulous, I have never tasted such gorgeous muesli and the fruit cocktail with mascarpone was amazing. Highly recommend eating at 1800, a restaurant in an old sea captain's mansion (+30 22860 71485) and the food at the hotel restaurant is also superb. It's also well worth a trip down to Amoudi Bay to experience fresh seafood at Taverna Dimitris – divine octopus chargrilled in oregano and olive oil. It is also well worth having a massage at the hotel in your room – superb masseur. I cant wait to return.

There is a restaurant in Oia called 1800 which has a superb roof terrace to see the sunset, wonderful period interior and French-style terrace courtyard with a fabulous menu to match. You can choose what type of atmosphere you want and they will cater for it. Excellent service. Top drawer.
