Murmuri
Getting there
- Planes Fly with EasyJet (www.easyjet.com) or Spanair (www.spanair.com) to Barcelona’s El Prat airport, which is about 20 minutes’ drive from the Murmuri. The hotel can organise a transfer for you; a taxi fare will set you back around €30. Otherwise, you can take the direct train to the city centre, which leaves the airport every 30 minutes. There’s also a shuttle service, ‘Aerobús’, which runs four times an hour to Plaça Catalunya station, a swift five-minute walk from the Hotel Murmuri.
- Trains The closest station is Estació de Sants, Barcelona’s main railway station, which links the city with Madrid, Valencia, Zaragoza and Bilbao. The hotel can arrange transfers to and from the station. There’s an extensive metro and bus service, with the nearest metro station (Passeig de Gràcia) only 200m from the hotel.
- Automobiles The hotel is within walking distance of the Ramblas, so you won’t need a car to explore the city sights. If you’re feeling especially idle, you can use the bus and metro to zip around the city, or hail a taxi. If you have brought a car, parking is available near the hotel if you need it for €30 or so a day. It takes about two hours to drive from France to Barcelona on the AP-7, and six hours from Madrid on the A2.
