The Guestbook
The hotel is amazing and the bar downstairs offers great cocktails and a wide selection of wines. Do not miss Relais de L'entrecote for a great dinner. Also please ask the concierge for recommendations. They know a lot of things and a restaurant that they suggested was great, don't remember the name though. Le Marais area is the best in Paris and the museum of modern art Pompidou was within walking distance. All in all, an amazing experience.

Within walking distance of the hotel is a lovely small rustic restaurant, Le Colimaçon, 44 rue Vieille du Temple. Staff very knowledgeable about their menu, extensive wine list and gorgeous food of course, quite pricey, but you can blame the exchange rate for that.

Don't miss LE RELAIS DE L'ENTRECÔTE, metro Saint Germain or Mabillon. Address 20 rue Saint-Benoît. The best place to eat traditional French entrecôte, needs no reservation. Don't miss it!
Also, Bastille is really nice for lunch.
For bars Pop In is excellent.

We found several fantastic restaurants during our stay at the Murano Resort, Paris. A leisurely stroll from the hotel (or an even quicker taxi journey) will find you on the Île Saint Louis – the smaller of the two islands in the Seine (the larger Île de la Cité being home to Notre Dame). Île Saint Louis has a lovely, village-esque feel about it and the main street has many restaurants, cafes and bistros to choose from. We booked a table (the last remaining one) at Mon Vieil Ami (+33 (0)1 40 46 01 35; www.monvieil-ami.com). This local, family-run, Michelin-starred restaurant serves fantastic food at a very reasonable prices. If you are in Paris and fancy a special dinner then you won't go wrong by dining here.

This is a first class destination hotel – terribly pretentious, fabulous decor, super cocktails and very 'French staff'. The Sunday brunch is not to be missed – super fun for people watching and spotting Paris glitterati! Bathrooms are very design focussed, beds are super comfy and the rooms are good sizes. Loved the dark hallways.

Buddha Bar is a good, hip bar and restaurant.
Tip for the Louvre – I've tried and failed to get into Louvre before as put off by very long queues outside the large pyramid. However, if you take the metro and alight at the 'Palais Royal Musée du Louvre' station, you avoid the queues as the station takes you into the main area inside where you can either buy tickets, or do what we did and go on the first Sunday of the month when it's free. It took us a matter of minutes before we were in.
