Medusa
Getting there
Located in the epicentre of oh-so-hip Darlinghurst (Sydney’s version of SoHo) Medusa is within walking distance of the CBD, Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and Botanical Gardens.
- Planes Sydney Airport (http://www.sydneyairport.com.au) has international and domestic flights arriving and departing daily. The airport is 15km from the hotel and staff can arrange transfers for a fee. Taxis are also plentiful and affordable.
- Trains The centrally located Kings Cross Station (http://www.cityrail.info; 131 500) is one kilometre from the hotel. Guests arriving at Sydney Airport can take the Airport and East Hills Line to Central Station where they will have to transfer to the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line and travel three stops to Kings Cross. Stay on the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line for another two stops to get to Bondi Junction, the nearest station to iconic Bondi Beach.
- Automobiles Hire a car at one of the airport’s many hire car company desks. The hotel is only a five-minute drive to the city but it gives you the freedom to explore the surrounding areas. The hotel is located on a quiet section of Darlinghurst Road between William Street and Oxford Street.
- Others Hire a car at one of Sydney Airport’s many hire car company desks. From Medusa it’s a hardly-worth-it five minute drive to the city centre but having some wheels will give you the chance to explore further afield. There is no in-house parking but there is street parking and a secure parking house just 50 metres from the hotel.
