Getting there
- Planes Fly with EasyJet (www.easyjet.com) or Spanair (www.spanair.com) to Barcelona Airport, known as El Prat. It takes around 20 minutes to reach ME Barcelona from the airport, and the hotel are happy to arrange transfers for around €120, and €105 for the return journey. There’s also a regular train service – a direct train runs from Terminal A to the city centre every 30 minutes – and buses leave for central Barcelona four times an hour.
- Trains The nearest train station is Estación de Francia (Estació de França in Catalan), which links the city to Madrid and Paris. As for travelling within Barcelona, there’s an excellent metro and bus network.
- Automobiles For those who prefer to drive, parking at the hotel costs €25 a night. If you’re coming from France, take the AP-7 from the French border down to Barcelona. Drive from Madrid on the A2, via Zaragoza, or take the AP-7 from the south, via Valencia and Tarragona.
