Overview
This hotel goes out of its way to keep children entertained, with table tennis, croquet, riding lessons, football, games and much more besides. Extra beds (£25) and cots (£15) can be provided in parents' rooms.

Any age, as long as they’re not scared of horses.
Recommended rooms
The suites have plenty of space and there are a number of interconnecting and adjoining family rooms, ideal for families with young children. Extra beds and cots can be added to some rooms.
Activities
We defy any child to get bored here, with tennis courts, croquet, five-a-side football pitch, an indoor pool, spa, equestrian centre for beginners and advanced, children’s cookery classes in the summer holidays and show-jumping classes in July.
Swimming pool
Children are allowed in the heated indoor pool, but keep an eye on less confident water babies.
Meals
Little Smiths are allowed in the Brasserie. There’s a children’s menu, highchairs and packed lunches are available. Staff are happy to heat up baby food and milk. Over-fives can eat in the main restaurant.
Babysitting
Babysitting with a local nanny is available (£15 an hour; book in advance).
No need to pack
Board games, DVDs and CDs are provided.
