In the know
Our favourite rooms
Junior Suites are only marginally larger than Exclusive Rooms, so either is a good choice. Rooms on the fifth floor have a small private balcony. Floors are colour themed, with only two rooms on each one – we like the almond green and purple. Bathrooms are spacious by Parisian standards, and all benefit from natural light.
Packing tips
Reading glasses for browsing the bookshops (or sunglasses for Parisian hauteur); existentialist fiction to peruse while sitting in nearby Café de Flore.
Also
In line with the area's intellectual leanings, the hotel organises occasional book-signing events. Le Placide also has an electric-assisted Solex bike you can borrow for easy-breezy local jaunts.
