Such a perfectly convenient location for Harrods and Harvey Nichs lovers. Just on a quiet side street barely seconds from Harrods, we really enjoyed our stay here. They have all the amenities I love from the Firmdale chain, but no restaurant (which would have been perfect for us on this particular stay). As it was, we did room service. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the dim sum. It was obviously frozen but other than that, room and setting...very comfy and beautifully tasteful as I think all Firmdale offerings are.

Tube hint: although Knightsbridge tube is the closest underground by physical distance, I found it easier to access South Kensington. It's impossible to wade through the sea of tourists outside Harvey Nichols and Harrods to access Knightsbridge Hotel. It's simply a more pleasant walk to South Ken, and will take you about the same amount of time.

Had dinner in the Boxwood Cafe which is a 5 min taxi journey away (it was raining!). Fantastic top quality food but the decor is shabby and lets the place down.
