Staff at Huka Lodge are very experienced at organising events and have hosted some extraordinary two-day wedding celebrations. There are no minimum numbers for a wedding reception – the hotel lends itself to both intimate affairs and larger parties, for which it can offer exclusive use of the property. The only requirement is that the bridal party and their guests must stay in-house. Also if exclusive use of the lodge is requested for a wedding, you'll need to book for a full two days. For bigger bashes, the hotel can seat 50 in the Lodge Dining Room or for larger groups a marquis can be erected either on the adjoining terrace or in the extensive, park-like grounds. The maximum number of guests the lodge can host overnight is 59 (if the four single Escort Rooms, usually reserved for accompanying staff or children, are used).

Past celebrity weddings at Huka Lodge include American actor Larry Hagman (JR in 1980s hit TV show Dallas, and it's also popular with A-List honeymoon couples.
