- Automobiles The Diamant Hotel Canberra can organise taxi transfers for the eight-kilometre, 20-minute drive from the airport for around AU$20–AU$40, or pick up a taxi yourself at the airport rank. Canberra is about a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Sydney, the nearest big city, if you've got your own wheels. Parking at the hotel costs AU$20 a night and must be pre-booked as spaces are limited.
