The Guestbook
Dar Zemora is a wonderful surprise. After being in sumptuous surrounding in the heart of Marrakech, the beautifully appointed Dar is so calm and relaxing to the eye. Thank you Mr & Mrs Smith for the wonderful surprise of the upgrade to the Perla Suite and the incredible rose petal bath. My husband and I are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and this was such a perfect surprise. We can't say enough about how exceptional the surroundings are. The staff are a perfect example of the inner beauty and sincerity of the Moroccan people and their culture. We will certainly be booking again with Mr & Mrs Smith. The hotels we have experienced on this trip have all been beyond our expectation.

My boyfriend and I just spent a wonderful weekend at Dar Zemora. This is my third visit to Marrakech but first staying out in the Palmeraie. The lush scents of the garden engulf your senses immediately as does as the calmness of the oasis that you find yourself in. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Dar Zemora, it really felt that we were guests at a house party rather that staying in a hotel. Our scented bath with rose petals was a exotic romantic experience which we will treasure – thank you Mr & Mrs Smith. The food was amazing at Dar Zemora, the only drawback was the six-course dinner: beautifully presented and delicious, but one had the sense that one was at a cocktail party eating six amazing canapes, not six courses. Our room was lovely with a huge bathroom, the only thing that somewhat bothered us is that we were next to the driveway and so could hear everything. We gave up trying to find things in the guide books, and just let ourselves get swept away in the magic and mystery that is Marrakech. We had dinner on our last night at Al Fassia, which is probably the best food that I have ever eaten in Marrakech. It is a restaurant which is run and served by women. The service was a little hectic at times but the food was magical and the atmosphere was warm and cosy.
