The Guestbook

Just an unbelievable place to stay – we were there as part of our honeymoon and it was amazing. Impeccable service, nothing was too much trouble and excellent food as well; despite there being only one restaurant we ate some different food pretty much every meal we were there. Be sure to try the themed menus when they are on – a disappointingly high number of guests don’t bother, according to the staff we spoke to, which is a real shame as they are excellent. Snorkelling out to the edge of the reef from the jetty and following it along is breathtaking and a must see. A post-breakfast stroll around the island only takes 45 minutes or so and is the perfect reminder each day of how amazing Cocoa Island is. Our only other tip would be to go and sit by the pool for a couple of days as you’re regularly furnished with cold towels, water, fruit skewers and homemade ice-lollies!

I spent my birthday at Cocoa Island and boy was I in for a treat! In just a day, all the staff seemed to know that I had a birthday and they all seemed to know my name. The island is indeed very small but the time spent there seemed very short, and we were under the impression that we were alone (but according to staff they were 90 per cent booked). On top of all the friendliness, the villa was exactly as good as your review promises. Thanks!

Cocoa Island was simply beautiful. The staff are very friendly, happy people. The place was 85 per cent occupied while we were there but we had most of the facilities to ourselves most of the time. Beaches were empty. The one top tip is not to pack too many clothes. You just won't need them... swimming costume and flip flops are all you need, with a cover-up for the evening. High heels look ridiculous sinking into the sand!

We had terrible weather with a typhoon over India affecting all the Maldives. But books and water colours meant we always had plenty to do... It will never be forgotten that holiday. Dreamy.
