The Guestbook
Pap'acorda on Rua da Atalaia in the Bairro Alto is a foodie's paradise. It's simple and unpretentious yet always completely full (so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table - they only have two sittings anyway) and no wonder why! We had generously portioned real Portuguese food done in honest yet imaginative ways, and a real down-to-earth feel despite clearly well-sourced and well-presented dishes. The best place in Lisbon maybe?

A great new restaurant in the Bairro Alto is 100 Maneiras. There is no choice - they serve a tasting menu of 10 courses. For two of us with wine, we paid around 100 euros. Very friendly service and fantastic flavours. We also ate at two other places also recommended by Chiado 16: Restaurante Olivier and Tagide, which is next-door to the hotel.
