Mr & Mrs Smith

We had booked a room whilst in London to go to an opera at the ENO. We had an absolutely fabulous room (we were upgraded to a suite on the 4th floor). It was by far the best hotel room we've have ever had, putting the Ritz well in the shade. Our pre-theatre supper in Oscars was again excellent. Our only disappointment was that we were only staying one night. Service througout was exemplary. We will certainly stay again when next in London.

I have stayed at the Charlotte Street before a few years ago and sadly I was only there for a night. Due to my fabulous Mr & Mrs Smith membership, I was upgraded to a loft style suit (unexpected but very lovely).

I didn't actually look at the menu but ordered what I wanted and they didn't bat an eyelid and sent me up a fabulous fillet with béarnaise.. The staff are attentive and pleasant. It has a great bar and restaurant and I have never been there when it has NOT been busy....

Also very convenient for walking-distance restaurants and great hair treatment... Charles Worthington is just over the road!!!!!!

We went for a romantic dinner at Roka, at 37 Charlotte Street (+44 (0)207 580 6464) . It's a great place for a cosy dinner, or to meet for drinks downstairs. It's a bit pricey but definitely trendy. The black cod is amazing – don't miss it!
