The Guestbook
An old mule trail runs directly from Ca's Xorc all the way down to the bay at Deia, about a 2-hour walk downhill the whole time. The trip there and back, possibly even with a straight uphill stop-off in Deia village, will leave you feeling incredibly fit and satisfied. The trail is shaded for much of the way and cuts through some beautiful woods, before opening up to expansive sea views. Not to be missed. Even better if followed by a soak in Ca's Xorc's outdoor hot tub, such a treat at sunset. Our most incredible meal was at the rightly renowned Bens D'Avall. They catered to two vegetarians perfectly, which is a testament to the kitchen's creativity. The view over the water tucked into a small cove is like a portrait of what Mallorca would look like in your dreams. Finally we discovered a superb local wine for sale at Ca's Xorc Bens D'Avall and even a few small markets. Keep your eyes out for it - the spiciness of a Shiraz, the body of a Cabernet and an ideal souvenir to bring home of your Mallorcan holiday.

This is a wonderful hotel with great staff, who leave you completely alone unless you want something. Would recommend Room 9 over Room 14, both have balconies with wondrous views over the surrounding valleys and out past Soller to the sea. Although smaller and lacking a bath, the balcony has the above room's balcony as a roof, which gives a lovely sense of cloistered calmness and relief from the heat and also has a lovely sofa to relax on.

Beautiful hotel – one of the most relaxing stays we have had. Food is amazing. Service impecable. Quiet pool area. Comfy rooms. Fantastic.

Just a quick note to thank you so much for all your help and efficiency regarding the hotel booking. It was the most wonderful location, the views were stunning, the hotel was the perfect romantic hideaway and the food of exceptionally high standard, without being pretentious or prissy. It was the most perfect evening, the staff were lovely, helpful and charming (quite a rarity in Majorca believe me!). The swimming pool was heaven. Paddy (my other half) who has stayed all over the world in pretty smart places, said it was without compare and that it was the most charming place he has ever stayed (and I thought it was just my company he loved).

Amazing hotel; friendly people. If you get bored easily, I would recomend hiring a car as is quite remote and Deia, etc are deffinately worth a visit. We had a ground-floor room which was lovely if simply decorated. I would recommend a first floor room which gives alot better views of the surrounding hillside.
