Capella Lodge
Best for
Six to ten year-olds. Kids aged six and over are welcome at the lodge (age 12 and over at the Lidgbird Pavilion).
Recommended rooms
The single-level Capella Family Suite and mezzanine-style Makambo Loft are both spacious with separate sleeping areas for adults and generous outdoor decks.
Activities
The lagoon near the Lodge is a sheltered spot for paddling, snorkelling and kayaking. Other local distractions include hand-feeding fish at Neds Beach, which nippers will love, or rides on one of the hotel's free guest push bikes. There are tennis courts nearby for older Roger Federers.
Swimming pool
The hotel has a plunge pool, and some suites boast private facilities, but there isn't a separate pool for small folk.
Meals
Children are allowed in the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner (6.30pm–9.30pm) and the lodge offers a kids' menu. The Lodge can also provide packed lunches.
