Getting there
- Planes Fly with EasyJet (www.easyjet.com), Monarch Airlines (www.monarch.co.uk) or British Airways (www.ba.com) to Ibiza Airport, a 25-minute drive from Can Curreu. You can pick up a taxi or hire car directly outside the main terminal building. There’s an hourly bus to the centre of Ibiza.
- Trains You can get to the island by rail by taking the overnight train to Barcelona (via Paris), then the fast ferry from Barcelona to Ibiza, which sails on most nights of the week (www.trasmediterranea.es).
- Automobiles A car will come in handy for exploring the island and reaching the secluded coves and beaches along its coast. There are plenty of taxis, but you’ll find that in high season they tend to be booked up at least a day in advance. Hire cars are on offer at the airport, there’s parking at the hotel. Take the E-20 in the direction of Santa Eularia, then turn off at San Carlos and follow directions to the hotel.
