Bob Bob Ricard (http://www.bobbobricard.com/) is an absolute must! Its like stepping back in time in there. The interior is nothing short of fabulous; it feels like you are in an Art Deco first class train carriage when at your booth. The food is great and you have to try the 'Press for Champagne Button' installed on each table! It lights up your table number above the bar. Best restaurant of 2010! AA Gill's review of it is totally unjust, my other half and I have eaten in most of the Michelin starred restaurants in London and this place is up there, end of story.

A new Hakkasan has opened in Mayfair on Bruton Street which is a hop, skip and jump away from Brown's Hotel – best Chinese fusion food I've ever had!

Brown's is an outstanding hotel, but if you want to venture out for breakfast, the Wolsey is only a short stroll away. A bowl of coffee and a baguette, or the most complete 'English' breakfast you can imagine are all set against the impressive backdrop of an ornate old Victorian banking hall. Gets quite busy on a Sunday as people linger over their papers, so try to get there before 10.30 am.

Brown's Hotel is an absolute delight to stay in and and although its restaurant is fabulous, another restaurant absolutely not to miss is Scotts Restaurant (www.scotts-restaurant.com) and also the Square (www.squarerestaurant.com) – both within walking distance!

Great concierge at Brown's Hotel! I suggest Hix and Bentley's Restaurant for oysters and good English food – different atmosphere but both great quality. Cecconis is great for Italian food.
