Chalet Boréale combines serious skiing with serious style. Perched on the mountainside above the resort of Méribel, this is the ideal base from which to enjoy the huge variety of Alpine sports in the Trois Vallées, Europe’s largest ski area. The chalet offers the highest levels of comfort and service and its fantastic facilities include an outdoor pool and panoramic terrace. The view through the picture window in the living room takes in a wide sweep of snow-capped peaks – the perfect backdrop to the excellent cuisine prepared by chalet’s expert chef.

AlsoSmoking is not allowed in the chalet. There is a small study area with a computer and internet access. Boréale also has a sauna and massage room.

Eating and DrinkingThe dining table seats 10 people so children usually eat separately. The chalet provides a chef who prepares dinner with wine six nights a week. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served every day. Also included is an open bar as well as a daily Perrier Jouët champagne reception with canapés. You can dine out on the terrace if you prefer. Supermarket: Casino Supermarché is at the entrance to the main Méribel resort (daily 08h30–12h30 and 15h–19h30). Down in the valley, there’s a large Hyper Champion on rue Bouleaux in Môutiers.
Deli: La Gourmandine on Route de la Montée in Méribel has a good selection of local specialities. Cheese fanatics should visit La Fromagerie in the centre of the resort, which has a great shop and an even better fondue restaurant downstairs (+33 (0)4 79 08 55 48).
HousekeepingYour chalet staff take care of all housekeeping.
ChildrenWelcome. Highchairs, cots, pushchairs, booster seats, listeners, toys and kid’s cutlery are readily available. Children’s lunch and supper menus are provided daily. Qualified baby-sitters and English-speaking nannies can be arranged on request.
EntertainmentThere’s a CD player with surround sound and a selection of discs in the sitting room. There’s an entertainment centre in the cinema and games room, too. DVD players are in all the bedrooms. Chalet Boréale has a chalet manager, host, driver and chef, all of whom will ensure you have a fantastic stay. Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening champagne and canapés are provided every day and an evening meal with wine is prepared six nights a week. Children’s lunch and dinner menus are also available. Chalet guests can enjoy the open bar with its wide selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. Let your chalet manager know about special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, too. Beauty and massage treatments can be arranged in the chalet’s massage room.
ProvidedBed linen, towels, bathrobes, toiletries, a chauffeur-driven car between 08h and 23h, breakfast, afternoon tea, evening meals with house wine. Newspapers and fresh flowers daily. Little luxuries like sun cream and lip balm are also provided.

Booking processA deposit of 25 per cent is required to secure your booking, with the balance due 56 days before arrival. Cancellations incur a charge of at least 25 per cent. Cancellations less than 14 days before arrival receive no refund.
