Eating and DrinkingFermes de Moudon is fully catered and guests have the services of a professional chef during their stay. The main dining table comfortably seats 10 and there’s an additional dining table next to the TV lounge that seats six, which is often used for children’s meals. There are two dining tables outside on the deck, which seat 12. Supermarket: in Les Gets there’s a Sherpa supermarket on Les Perriéres if you need a few essentials. There’s a much larger Champion supermarket on Place de la Poste in Morzine (Sun–Fri: 08h30–13h and 15h–20h; Saturday: 08h30–20h).
Deli: if you can’t live without Heinz baked beans or Branston pickle then make a beeline for Little Britain on rue du Vieux Village (+33 (0)4 50 75 49 19). If the mere thought appals you then try Fruitière des Perrières which makes and sells fantastic local cheeses (+33 (0)4 50 79 70 04).
HousekeepingHousekeeping is provided by the dedicated chalet staff.
ChildrenWelcome. Highchairs, cots, mats, children’s cutlery, sterilising units and car seats are all provided. There are toys suitable for all ages. Baby-sitters and child minders can also be organised. The loft room can be used as a children's bedroom.
EntertainmentThere's an iPod and CD player in the main sitting and dining area. You can also play CDs on the DVD player in the TV lounge. Chalet Ferme de Moundon comes with a chef, a chalet manager and an assistant manager, and is fully catered. The chef can expertly prepare almost anything you wish and you will be asked for any specific catering requirements before you arrive. The chef has one evening off during the week, giving you an opportunity to try the local restaurants if you wish.
ProvidedBed linen, towels, bath robes, Jo Malone toiletries, a chauffeur-driven car is available between 08h and 23h. Breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés and a three- to five-course evening meal with house wine and champagne.
Packing tipsBring some suitably cutting-edge snowboarding gear. Avoriaz is part of the Portes du Soleil region, easy to reach from Les Gets, and it specialises in snowboarding facilities.
Booking processA deposit of 25 per cent is required to secure your booking with the balance due 56 days before arrival. Cancellations incur a charge of at least a 25 per cent. Cancellations less than 14 days before arrival receive no refund.
