Booking processSmith deposit taken when you book. A deposit of three nights’ rental fee is taken when booking. The balance is due the day before the cancellation cut-off date. This varies during the season, from 120 days at peak times to 45 days at the beginning and end of the season.

Eating and drinkingThe chalet provides a professional chef and a butler who serve breakfast, afternoon tea and a gourmet meal in the evenings. You can eat at the Hotel Kilimandjaro if you prefer. The dining table comfortably seats all 10 guests and is next to the central fireplace. You can choose wine from the Hotel Kilimandjaro’s fantastic cellar. Guests at Chalet Totara benefit from the facilities of Hotel Kilimandjaro with the seclusion and personal touches of a private home. The chalet provides a butler, chef and driver to be at your disposal throughout your stay. Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals are prepared every day and the chef can cater to individual requirements. Children’s menus are also available.
HousekeepingA housekeeper visits the chalet each morning and additional requirements can be catered for on request.
ChildrenWelcome. Highchairs, cots, booster seats and kid’s cutlery are readily available. Children’s menus are provided, too. Qualified baby-sitters and nannies can be arranged on request.
EntertainmentThere is a CD, DVD player in the living room and DVD players in each bedroom. Chalet guests are free to use all Hotel Kilimandjaro’s facilities including the pool, spa, library, games room and gym. In-chalet massage, yoga, beauty treatments and personal trainers can also be organised. The hotel is 140 metres from Chalet Totara.
ProvidedTowels, bathrobes, toiletries, PlayStation 3 and a selection of games and WiFi throughout the chalet (and an internet connection in every room). Guests may use the Kilimandjaro's facilities such as the pool, spa and gym.
