Breathtaking and dramatic views
Ideal for families

Long weekends and self-catering available

Smith tip

Don’t despair if the weather isn’t great in Chamonix. A short distance outside town is the Mont Blanc tunnel. An adventure in itself, the longest road tunnel in Europe connects the Chamonix valley with Courmeyer on the Italian side of the Alps. If Chamonix is overcast Courmeyer often has fine weather. It always has excellent ice cream no matter what.

Housekeeping
Your chalet is hired with staff who take care of all housekeeping.
Children
Welcome. Car seats, high chairs, buggies and children’s cutlery can all be provided. Kids’ menus can be arranged on request and babysitters can be booked for you, too. The chalet has a garden that is ideal for children.
Entertainment
There’s a Bose entertainment centre in the living room. Even if you book Chalet Lumière on a self-catering basis there is a resort concierge that can help arrange activities for you and provides a shopping service. If you hire the chalet on a catered basis then you also have the benefits of a chalet chef, a chauffeur and private transfers to Geneva airport. Meals are tailor-made to your preferences and you are consulted on menus prior to arrival. Children’s menus can also be provided. The concierge can also recommend and book the best local restaurants.
Provided
Bed linen, towels, toiletries, bathrobes, champagne reception and in-resort concierge service. If you choose the fully-catered package you also have your own chef, chauffeur and private transfers to Geneva airport.
Packing tips
Bring a descent pair of binoculars. You could stand for hours looking at one of the most dramatic views in the Alps (and we’ve seen a few) but you’ll be able to gaze at the serrated peaks better with some binos.
