Smith tip

You’re in pole position at Apartment Angelina so if there’s a good snowfall during the night, don’t hang around once the cable car opens. Chamonix has some of the best off-piste skiing in the Alps but conditions don’t stay perfect for long. You can expect a lot of competition to be the first through the powder first thing in the morning.

Located right in the centre of Chamonix and just metres away from the Aiguille du Midi cable car, Apartment Angelina is the perfect choice for serious skiers. The resort is known as the capital of Alpine extreme sports and there’s an enormous range of activities to choose from, both summer and winter. The apartment sleeps six guests in three double or twin rooms so it’s also ideal for families seeking something with a greater sense of home than a hotel. You can choose to hire Apartment Angelina on a self-catering or fully catered basis and, whichever level of service you choose, there’s a dedicated resort concierge to help organise a fantastic break in the mountains.
