Chambers is a modernist midtown Manhattan boutique hotel that pulls a few surprises out the industrial-design bag: concrete in the bathroom, unplastered ceiling and exposed pipes... all executed with impeccable style.

- 77 rooms: 44 standard rooms, 16 deluxe rooms, 12 studios, one studio suite and four one-bedroom suites.
- Rates
- Rates are seasonal and vary weekday and weekend. Weekend rates currently start at $295 for a standard room; weekday rates at $325. Suites, $600–$2,000.
- Check-out
- Check-in is 3pm, check-out 12 noon. Some flexibility on request, according to availability.
- Facilities
- CD/DVD with big library, wall-mounted 42-inch plasma screen in suites. Frette bathrobes, Bumble and Bumble products. Passes to nearby fitness centre, in-room yoga instruction and massage, personal trainer, personal shopper, concierge, valet parking.
- Children
- Children are welcome; nanny services, free cribs and cots, plus games and DVDs are available. No connecting rooms.
- Also
- Small dogs permitted (25lb and under), with a waiver to sign on check-in in case of not-so-little accidents.

- Deluxe rooms face onto 56th Street, with lots of light and floor-to-ceiling windows. The Studio Suite is on the 15th floor, with a deep tub in a big bathroom. The 900-square-foot Duplex Suite has a vast terrace with walnut floors and a wow of a view.

- Town serves contemporary Continental cuisine, which has earned it a coveted three stars in The New York Times, and it came 26th out of the top 100 New York restaurants in New York magazine.

- Breakfast 7am–10.30am; lunch/Sunday brunch, 2.30pm; dinner, 10.30pm; bar, 2am.

- The bar at Town is open 11am–2am, serving cocktails such as blood-orange cosmopolitans, and mojitos with fresh mint and sugar cane.
