Our favourite rooms

At the rear of the hotel, looking onto the garden, Couvoisier has a king-size bed, freestanding rolltop Victorian bath in the bedroom and walk-in power shower. Tattinger has a four-poster, Louis Guntrum is a snug, quiet double; Marques de Caceres is a good-sized double.

The cosy bistro serves modern Mediterranean and French cuisine. Last orders: for lunch 13.45h; dinner 21.45. Terrace in the summer for lunch.

Relaxed, even outdoorsy.

Table 8 in the corner overlooking the garden, or on the terrace for lunch in summer.

Last orders for dinner at 9.45pm. The bar is open 24 hours for residents.
