The Enterprise on Walton Street (+44 (0)20 7584 3148) is a cosy gastropub serving delicious British fare. Maggie Jones in Old Court Place off Kensington Church Street (+44 (0)20 7937 6462) has been a favourite for years, serving hearty English and modern food at a reasonable price. Their three-course Sunday lunch is filling and fantastic.
The infamous Boujis on Thurloe Street (+44(0)20 7584 2000) is where the fashionable Kensington crowd flock. Get past the CCTV door inspection at Apartment 195, hidden away on King’s Road (+44 (0)20 7351 5195), and sip a cocktail on one of the bashed-up leather sofas.

Book the Penthouse suite for panoramic views of Hyde Park, and see how many celebrities you can spot in the members-only Met Bar and Michelin-starred Nobu restaurant. The Como Shambhala Urban Escape offers Asian-inspired treatments to calm pre-wedding nerves.
They're mentioning no names, but one couple hired Nobu, the Met Bar and The Penthouse on an exclusive basis for their nuptials, which the hotel billed, 'the Ultimate Wedding Reception in London'. A Met Bar mixologist can be booked for cocktail drinks receptions.
The events manager and team of planners (020 7447 1064) oversees every aspect of the big day. Her comprehensive contacts book has lists of florists, photographers and transport providers for the couple to choose from. The look that works best here is pared down and minimalist, decorated with subtle floral arrangements.

There's a high proportion of interconnecting rooms, and most rooms are large enough for an extra bed or cot. Children aged 16 and under stay free in parent's room.
London is on your doorstep, and the concierge can arrange tickets for everything from a Ducktour in an amphibious bus, to Madame Taussauds. There's a PlayStation 2 console and games to borrow on request.
Children are only allowed in the Metropolitan's Nobu restaurant at breakfast, and children's food is available on the room service menu. Staff are happy to heat up baby food and milk, and can provide child-friendly packed lunches on request.
Babysitters and nannies from the Hopes and Dreams nursery school are available for a minimum of four hours. It costs between £10 and £14 an hour, plus a £14.50 booking fee.
Baby monitors don't work in the hotel.
There are high chairs available in the restaurant, and they can be used in bedrooms on request. Kids' bathrobes are also available on request.
All rooms have TVs and DVD players, and minibars that have space for milk. The two-night Honey I Brought the Kids package is available at weekends (£499 per night for two interconnecting room). The package includes champagne for parents; milkshakes and cookies for children, plus various toys and vouchers depending on the age of the child (teenies get teddy bears, teenagers HMV vouchers).
