Smoking is only permitted in the garden and vestibule. Well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement, as long as they meet the approval of the resident pooch! A minimum three-night stay is normally required at weekends and over busy periods.

Our favourite rooms

All rooms blend contemporary and traditional style and have private ensuite shower rooms and toilets. There are three large doubles with kingsize beds, one of which can either be a twin, a family room or a double.

Packing tips

Good walking shoes. Edinburgh is a city full of hills and many attractions to get round. And it’s always a good idea to prepare for all weather conditions: it can be warm, cold dry, rainy – all in the same day.

Breakfast is 8am–9.30am during the week and 8.30am–10am on weekends. It includes a wide selection of Continental options, and hot breakfast to order: traditional full Scottish, scrambled eggs or waffles.
