- Children
- Amanpuri is more a honeymooners’ hotel than a family resort.

In the know
- Our favourite rooms
- Jutting out over the Andaman, pavilions 103 and 105 have the most striking sea views and oodles of space. The Garden Pavilions, woven amongst the coconut palms, also get the Smith stamp of approval.
- Packing tips
- Beach books and board games – none of the pavilions have TVs so you may have to make your own entertainment (you may have more exciting things in mind than reading and Scrabble tournaments, though).
- Also
- You can take PADI-accredited scuba courses at Amanpuri, then charter one of the 20 cruisers, yachts and speedboats for some undersea adventure. For those less inclined to take the plunge, snorkelling gear is on hand at the beach.
Food & drink

- Hotel bar
- At dusk, teak and rattan chairs and solid brass tables appear outside the bar so guests can catch the sunset over cocktails. Down in the Beach Club, things take on a sophisticated air, with lounge tunes, day-beds and pitchers of signature cocktails.
