Poolside: Outdoor saltwater pool, in pristine-white surroundings.

In the know

Our favourite rooms: Room 22 is a spacious double with lots of light. Room 24 is slightly darker but cool, with an open-plan bathroom. Room 18 is a lovely regular double. Ask for a room facing the courtyard.

Food & drink

Hotel restaurant: Set in the vaulted refectory, or the cloisters in balmy weather, serving a fresh take on Extremadura’s traditional cuisine, and local Ribera del Guadiana wines.
Dress code: Natural fabrics, to harmonise with the hotel’s organic feel.
Top table: In a candlelit corner of the cloisters.
Room service: 9–11pm for restaurant menu.
Hotel bar: You can order drinks anywhere you like, all hours within reason.
