- The hotel's dining is overseen by world-famous chef Alain Ducasse and is open to non-guests. Traditional Mediterranean trattoria dishes use fresh, local produce and are executed with finesse.

Local restaurants
Ristorante da Antonietta on Via Colomo in Castiglione della Pescaia (+39 0564 933 661) is a small family run restaurant with a terrace overlooking the boats in the port and ideal for lunch, 12h30–14h. Try the fresh squid and the espeguetti alle sarde (sardine spaghetti). Vota Pentole on Via IV Novembre (+39 0564 934 763) is an intimate bistro in the historic centre; it's certainly worth the climb up through the narrow streets for sundowners and tasty local specialities on the panoramic terrace. Pizzeria Da Anna in Strada delle Rocchette (+39 0564 941 175) in the centre of Castiglione della Pescaia, is also a favourite with the locals and serves traditional Tuscan dishes.Worth getting out of bed for
The Maremma Nature Park stretches along the coast and is a wonderful area for walks (www.parco-maremma.it). If you're looking for some energetic pastimes, the beach is only 15 minutes away and the hotel can arrange kitesurfing.

Wow factor
The Tuscan countryside provides an idyllic backdrop to ceremonies in the hotel garden's little church, with views of vineyard-covered hillsides rolling off into the horizon.
Need to know
The hotel has a relationship with designer Peter Langner, so can even provide you with a made-to-measure dress. Flowers, decoration and, of course, food can be provided and there's a choice of three function rooms or the garden for the reception. Up to 66 guests can be accommodated.
