Amanusa’s white-powder beach provides an idyllic ‘desert island’ setting.
Couples getting married at Amanusa have to stay a minimum of two nights. The hotel can provide a Balinese or Western-style ceremony but the legal brouhaha has to be dealt with through the Government registry. Larger wedding parties should aim to book the entire resort in June –September.
The golf course next door is the ideal stag event diversion, while hens may prefer leaving themselves in the hands of Amanusa’s expert masseuses.

All Amanusa’s rooms are large enough to accommodate children, with cots available for babies and a day-bed for larger kids.
There are two tennis courts on site and a golf course next door. The resort also operates lessons in golf, swimming and cookery. For more sedate youngsters, there are board games in the library.
The main pool has a shallow end lifeguard on duty until 6pm every day.
High chairs and a children’s menu are available in the restaurant and staff can prepare packed lunches or heat milk if needed.
Free for the first four hours; after that it’s $10 an hour. Staff need one day’s notice.
With enough notice, Amanusa’s staff are prepared to provide almost anything, from changing mats to baby buggies. Enquire when booking.
