Local restaurants
The hotel provides guests with a guide to eating and drinking all over the island on arrival, which is helpful. Otherwise, our advice is head down to the beachside of Oia for fantastic fish restaurants for lunch or dinner. If you want a traditional Greek taverna,
Imerovigli (+30 22860 24198) and
Skaros (+30 22860 23616) are only five minutes’ walk from the hotel. Both have outside seating and are highly recommended by the hotel, especially Skaros if you fancy seafood.
Worth getting out of bed for
Take a sunset cruise to the volcano on a traditional schooner – this can be arranged through the hotel. The nearest beaches are Red Beach and Perivolos.

Easter If you want to see Greece taking its celebrations most seriously, visit at Easter; the date varies from year to year. It's always the most colourful event in this country's calendar. April There's a festival in honour of the country's only active volcano. September Santorini International Classical Music Festival (22860 23166).
