Children

Family rooms can sleep up to four, otherwise extra beds and cots are DKK125 and DKK225 respectively. Toys are given to youngsters on arrival and there’s a children’s area in the restaurant.

Our favourite rooms

Room 417 – oddly numbered, given the hotel only has 68 – is on the top floor and, because there are no neighbouring rooms, you can enjoy the rooftop views in uninterruptible privacy. Room 414 has a four-poster canopy bed and an alcove lined with black and white Missoni cushions that’s perfect for wallowing away an afternoon with a good book.

Hotel restaurant

The Avenue’s bright, photograph-lined lounge serves light tapas-esque Mediterranean meals and a seemingly endless array of breakfast pastries, all made fresh on the premises.

Clean-lined casual.

Top table

Either in prime people-watching position by the window, or a seat in the centre by the bakery table to ensure you don’t miss the latest arrivals form the kitchen.

Last orders

The bar and the kitchen close at midnight.

Except on Yellow Lounge Saturdays, a gentle soundtrack of jazz and chill-out permeates the air of the hotel lounge, the ideal spot to ease out of the city buzz and enjoy some serious sofa time.
