Pravda on Parizská (+420 222 326 203) is a fine-dining experience split over two all-white contemporary levels. Service is impeccable, and the food delicious. The cavernous candlelit area downstairs is more suitable for dinner; ask for a window seat and dress up. Ask for a table on the terrace or by the window in winter. Barock on Parizská (+420 222 329 221) offers a respite from usual Czech comestibles, as its cuisine is Japanese and Asian. The coffee and cakes are divine at Cremeria Milano on Parizská, an old-style tearoom which spills tables onto to the tree-lined ‘French Street’ in the summer. The fruits of the French and Thai kitchen at Nostress café on the corner of Dusni (+420 222 317 004) are best enjoyed at lunchtime in the garden. It also specialises in fresh juices and Belgian chocolate cake. Tretters on Otevreno (+420 257 811 165) is a popular New York-style.
Kolkovná on Kolkovne is an art nouveau pub, always packed with merrymakers enjoying the traditional food and beer; the cellar transforms into a nightclub at 22h.
