The contemporary styling of this Prague design hotel is set in a centuries-old shell, where the walls are dotted with quotations from beloved poet Jan Neruda, who once lived here, right next to the castle.

44 Nerudova, Prague
The two-levelled Hergetova Cihelna on Cihelna (+420 257 535 534) is a huge bar, Italian diner and pool hall rolled into one; a great place for lunch, it turns into a rocking bar at night. The Three Violins restaurant on Nerudova (+420 257 532 062), a former violin workshop of the kind Prague was famous for, serves good fish and typical Czech dishes. One of Prague’s most high-profile destination restaurants is Kampa Park on Na Kampé (+420 257 532 685). Ten minutes away, right next to Charles Bridge and the Vltava River, it serves classic Czech dishes with as much finesse as fancy international recipes from fresh seafood to game (we loved the duck). Perfect for a special occasion; try and get a table overlooking the river.
Square Café on Malostranske was the old haunt of poet Jan Neruda, and so an appropriate rendezvous for guests of Neruda. Newly renovated with a glass facade, it is a popular spot to enjoy a beer or a candlelit dinner of Italian, Mediterranean dishes or tapas.
