Rooms: 43 rooms and four suites.
Rates: €180–€740, including breakfast.
Check-out: 11.30am.
Facilities: TV, DVD/CD player, WiFi, open fireplaces, under-floor heating and roll-top baths. The hotel has tennis courts, and a 36-hole golf course nearby. The area offers hiking trails, 1,200km of cycle tracks and year-round skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn.
Poolside: Indoor pool in the spa. You can also bathe at the nearby Zeller lake.
Children: Over-12s are welcome.
Hotel closed: 10–20 December. Pleae note this hotel is now fully booked until late March 2008.
Also: The hotel's excellent spa has a floatarium, steam baths and saunas, and offers a wide range of massage and beauty treatments. Mavida also has a number of yoga, Pilates and well-being programmes, as well as personal trainers.

Our favourite rooms: The Panorama suites have the largest balconies and wonderful views of the mountains.

Hotel restaurant: Gourmet dishes are prepared with herbs from the hotel's own kitchen garden. The menu features a wide range of delicious, healthy and energy-boosting food; diet or light dishes can also be prepared.
Dress code: Just remember to change out of your cosy bathrobe for dinner.
Top table: One next to the walk-in glass vinothèque.
Last orders: Dinner: 19h–22h.
Room service: 24-hour.
Hotel bar: The lounge bar has a centre-piece open fire and a terrace. There is live music at weekends. The house cocktail is the Monte Cristo Royal, and there are Cuban cigars on offer, too.
