Commanding sweeping views of Fowey's river estuary, port and sea, this comfy country chateau on the south coast of Cornwall doubles as a small, charming and unpretentious luxury family-focussed hotel. It was the original inspiration for Toad Hall in The Wind In The Willows. A croquet lawn, indoor pool, interconnecting suites, and nearby beaches and sailing make it ideal for fun family escapes and wannabe sea dogs.
