Raphael Ibanez
Team captain
The former France rugby captain began his career in his home town of Dax, made his international debut against Wales in 1996 and went on to win 98 caps for his country. He is the world’s most capped player in his position, and has played in three World Cups. He won two Grand Slams with France and two Six Nations tournaments; in the UK, he played for Saracens and then London Wasps. As a broadcaster, he has been a member of the BBC’s Six Nations team since 2007. His interest in hotels and interior decoration is well documented – since he visited his native region for Mr & Mrs Smith.
