Great place, a simple but stylish set-up and brilliant location. The room came with a list of recommended restaurants and things to do. We ate at three of their recommendations and each one was absolutely fantastic. This really added to our stay. Definitely recommend staying here.

Our room looked onto the street so it was quite noisy at night. I think this is to be expected being so central and it certainly didn't spoil our stay. Ask for a room away from the street if you think this might be an issue though.

The hotel is in a great location - Floroom 2 at Via del Sole is close to all the great parts of Florence with great bars and restaurants everywhere. The room (no 7) was very comfortable: lovely bed and bedding, great bathroom, very quiet and cool. The breakfast was plentiful and the open kitchen was a lovely touch - coffee, juices, water, and biscotti whenever I needed it. The host was charming, very helpful and discreet.

There is a lovely restaurant and bar Obika (www.obika.it/english/restaurant-in-florence.html) nearby, which is a great space for having the aperitivo, or lunch and dinner. Very well priced top quality food.

We spent a wonderful five nights in Florence and very much enjoyed our stay at Floroom. Excellent service, immaculately clean and very welcoming - thank you Floroom. Do buy a Firenze card if you are planning to visit the Uffizzi and Medici palaces etc. It is very good value and enables you to bypass all the queues and use public transport should you need it. Enjoy coffee and a pastry standing at the bar in Rivoire in Piazza Della Signoria (www.rivoire.it). Delicious and so atmospheric, we really miss it. Vivanda (www.vivandafirenze.it) in the Oltrarno, on the south side of the river, is an excellent place to enjoy simple biodynamic freshly prepared food and a superb selection of wines, tasty homemade soups, pasta and desserts. The locals eat there, including an off-duty chef on one of our visits. A memorable trip and we will return.
