In the know
- Our favourite rooms
- All rooms feature Philippe Starck’s hallmark minimalist white leather-and-linen decor, with accent colours provided by oversize potted plants, Connemara marble worktops and pale grey marble in the bathrooms. Get an Ocean View room if you can – the view is worth shelling out for. Alcove rooms have city views, but make up for it with slick bench seating under the windows. One-Bedroom Suites have vast marble soaking tubs; but we love the Terrace Suites for their private decked sunbathing area. If you’re splashing out on one of the special duplex bungalows, opt for bungalow one (just outside the Orchard) or eight (on the beachfront) for a tiny bit more privacy and quiet – poolside is a party zone day and night.
- Packing tips
- Boys, bring your best pair of Vilebrequin swimshorts; girls, break out the super-chic Heidi Klein. There’s a variety of water sports on offer on the beach, so bring one of those bungee cords if you don’t want to lose your shades…
- Also
- You can smoke on the restaurant terrace, poolside and in designated smoking rooms. Pets cannot be accommodated.
