A trip to the Viceroy is pretty impressive in itself but it's well worth venturing away from the hotel. The farmers' markets on Wed, Sat and Sun mornings are worth a visit if only to people-watch. The Urth Caffé just a few blocks away on Main Street serves fantastic organic food – perfect for a nice brunch to set you up for the day.
There's also a great restaurant opposite the hotel called Capo. The restaurant looks nothing special from the outside but they serve fantastic fresh Italian pasta and seafood in a very relaxed, candlelit atmosphere.
