The hotel was great, but I really had to comment on the restaurant at Blanch House. In addition to breakfast, my wife and I ate an evening meal and sunday lunch there. Both evenings presented a very interesting menu, and the food was superbly cooked, very well presented and served by extremely helpful staff. We also felt that, for the quality, the prices were more than fair. The Sunday roast just might be the best we've had.
Our stay at Blanch House was brilliant, the staff were so friendly and the cocktails not to be missed. Jamie's Italian (Jamie Oliver's new venture) has just opened at the bottom of the Lanes, so you should definitely check that out. It's worth getting there early, though, as you can't book and you may be in for a wait. There are lovely cocktails to keep you entertained while you're waiting though!
