Not a long journey from Swansea to Llandeilo and work commitments meant only time for one night away - but well worth the visit - a complete change of scenery and pace. Fronlas was new to us and lived up to the Mr & Mrs Smith review - our room was stylish yet comfortable with wonderful views. We dined at The Cawdor Arms (+44 (0)1558 823500) on Rhosmaen Street - good food and even better service. After an excellent breakfast at Fronlas we spent a leisurely morning shopping - would particularly recommend Scorpio (+44 (0)1558 824462) at 9 King Street for homeware and gifts (loved the Melin Tregwynt range) and Peppercorn (+44 (0)1558 822410) at 5 King Street, which stocks anything you might need for the kitchen. There's a good range of pubs and restaurants in the area - try Y Polyn in Capel Dewi - about quarter of an hour drive away - wonderful lunch.
