Notting Hill Brasserie at 92 Kensington Park Road (+44 (0)20 7229 4481) is great for lunch. The Cow at 89 Westbourne Park Road (+44(0)20 7221 0021) is Tom Conran's modern take on the cosy pub, perfect for a pint of Guinness and some fresh oysters. E&O at 13 Blenheim Crescent, W11 (+44 (0)20 7229 5454) demonstrates fusion dining at its most sophisticated and tasty; it's as perfect for a relaxed lunch as a dressed-up dinner. The Ledbury at 127 Ledbury Road (+44 (0)20 7792 9090) is a lovely gastropub. If you’re in the mood for more or less trad Italian, you can't beat the respected chain Carluccio’s, at 108 Westbourne Grove (+44 (0)20 7243 8164). Ping Pong at 74–76 Westbourne Grove (+44 (0)20 7313 9832) is popular for its dim sum, though authentic it ain't. Notting Grill at 123a Clarendon Road, W11 (+44 (0)20 7229 1500) is Anthony Worral-Thompson’s carnivore-pleasing restaurant. Casa Frattini on Chepstow Road (+44 (0)207 221 1821) is a highly-recommended Italian restaurant where the crowded tables create an informal atmosphere. A little further afield, Hereford Road at 3 Hereford Road, W2 (+44 (0)20 7727 1144) is co-owned by Tom Pemberton, former chef at St John Bread and Wine, and is a welcome addition to a patch of West London suffering a dearth of write-home-about eateries; grab a booth-for-two upstairs at this former Victorian butcher's and do everything as a pair – the melt-in-your-mouth oxtail to share is a carnivore's dream.
