The Hotel Prestige lies smack bang in the middle of Barcelona’s equivalent of Bond Street. It has the air of a super-villain’s lair. A monumental steel and glass door marks the entrance; dark-suited hotel staff greet you in the lobby; ceiling-high sliding mirrored panels close off your bedspace. It’s modern, sleek and ever-so-slightly despotic. In a good way.
