This cheap-chic retreat in the glitziest swath of the Mediterranean coast is the creation of Malmaison’s Ken McCulloch and his wife Amanda Rosa, whose design smarts saw that the interior includes acres of brushed suede in rich chocolate browns, blacks and creams. The stealth-wealth decor is as discreet as the staff, and the service is suitably polished for a hotel that boasts a member of the local glitterati, Jacques Villeneuve, as one of its co-owners.
