Design & Style Hotel Neruda |
| Prague, Czech Republic | |
| Style Simple, stylish comfort | |
| Setting Close to the castle | |
| Prague's Hotel Neruda is as unpretentious a design hotel as you could hope for. It's a comfortable marriage of modernism and classicism: the lines of a contemporary townhouse encased in a centuries-old shell, right by the castle in Hradcany. Sharp-looking stone steps meet glass balustrades, rough-end red granite, brushed aluminium uplighters, and the human touch of an antique copper coffee urn, gilt-framed mirrors and a dream glass chandelier.

Hotel Josef |
| Prague, Czech Republic | |
| Style Minimalist cool | |
| Setting Ancient streets | |
| Glass walls, shiny chrome and an open-plan scheme lend Josef a design-heavy aura different from anywhere else in Prague. They've made the most of every inch, effecting the architectural equivalent of a Wonderbra. The impression of openness is achieved by housing the pale-limestone bathroom in a glass box – smart thinking. Philippe Starck taps visible on the sink also suggest the designers had an exhibitionist streak.

Hotel Nautilus |
| Tábor, Czech Republic | |
| Style Geological neoclassical | |
| Setting Old-town Tábor | |
| The interior of this Tábor hotel has the feel of a postmodern Roman villa, with neoclassical details and peachy hues; the restaurant, Goldie, is suitably elegant and decorated in Paris-chic style, with a long bar tiled in glittering metallic mosaics. There is a twirl motif running throughout, and the hotel's name refers to a spiral-shelled marine creature.

| Setting Nigh on Wenceslas Square | |
| Every shred of the decor in this Czech design hotel is contemporary, with a unique foyer scheme of olive walls, silver lights and what can only be described as giant ten-foot tangerine-coloured cats’ tails. The orange-suited check-in staff are super-friendly, and the rooms are welcoming and comfortable.
