Mojo’s on Wilderness (+61 2 4930 7244), run by a friendly husband-and-wife team, does wholesome Aussie dining, with seasonal ingredients and more excellent wine. The Beltree Café at Margan Estate (+61 2 6574 7216) is great for an outdoorsy lunch, with Mediterranean food and a Tuscan atmosphere. The Gate Café at Lavender Gate Farm in Wollombi (+61 2 4998 3377) has comforting pizza and pastas. Esca overlooking the Bimbadgen Estate in Pokolbin (+61 2 4998 4666) serves excellent Australian cuisine and has fine views over the vineyards. Booking recommended.
