Peter, the owner, had some great recommendations for food.We ate at a few of the restaurants he suggested and they were all good. Our only frustration came from the weather and timing: our stay was Sat to Wed and we had not realised that literally everything outside the city walls is closed on Sunday and most restaurants and bars are also closed on Monday. Finding places to eat on these nights was quite tricky. Also, we had a lovely cycle ride along the Canal du Midi which was really good. But worth noting that if, like us, you are expecting to find a host of beer gardens or vineyards along the way to allow a few stops, think again. In April at least there was nothing except a single drinking water tap along the 10km stretch that we cycled, and you then have to return the same way. All in all though, a lovely break.
