Spicers Canopy
Getting there
Spicers Canopy is set on a private nature reserve in Scenic Rim, a two-hour drive from the Queensland capital of Brisbane.
- Planes Fly into Brisbane Airport (www.bne.com.au) in Queensland, a 140-kilometre drive from the hotel. Travel from all major Australian cities with Qantas (www.qantas.com.au), Virgin Blue (www.virginblue.com.au) and Jetstar (www.jetstar.com). Numerous international carriers also service the airport.
- Automobiles Arrange a hire-car from Brisbane Airport or ask the hotel to send a chauffeured sedan for AU$370 one way. If you're coming from the nearest hub town of Warwick, it's a 45-minute drive to Spicers Canopy. There's no vehicle access to the eco-site, so you have to arrive by 2pm and leave your car at the gate (valet parking is free) before embarking on the one-hour guided walk to the hotel.
- Others Helicopter transfers from Brisbane Airport cost from AU$2,200 return, or AU$1,550 return from alternative touch-down option Gold Coast Airport (www.goldcoastairport.com.au).
